The Cat Sitting Service was established in 1999 by Andrew & Zoey Sheffield who both have many years of experience caring for cats and other small animals. They visit together, which ensures that clients instructions are carried out thoroughly and all requested tasks are double-checked. This also ensures that each individual cat is given lots of individual time for attention, fuss, feeding and cleaning.

Our Services
Cat Patrol provides an alternative and complimentary service to conventional catteries or in house pet sitters. For the older cat who doesn’t like to be disturbed or a multi cat household, Cat Patrol is your deal choice. For holidays, weekend breaks or business trips etc….we are just a phone call away.
Operating within a 3 mile radius of Nottingham city centre, we visit your home twice a day to feed and care for your much loved cat/s. For security reasons we don’t visit in a vehicle advertising who we are. Visits are usually between 8am-12noon and 4pm-8pm. Each visit is expected to take an average of 15 minutes during which time we will not only attend to your cat/s everyday needs, we can also administer their daily medication and in the unlikely event your cat/s should unexpectedly need to visit the vet we will take them at no extra charge (the treatment costs are the responsibility of the owner).
At the clients request we will: water house plants, pot plants and hanging baskets, fill birdbaths and birdfeeders in your garden, put out and take in wheelie bins, mail and newspapers, check security, open and close curtains, turn lights on and off etc.
All requirements are discussed via a video call when details of your individual circumstances are taken. Key drop off is discussed at this stage. The keys will be returned to you on your return, or alternatively clients who make regular trips away often use our convenient, free key holder service.
Whilst you are away you can keep updated on your cats welfare by text, email or phone.
Cat Patrol are covered by Public Liability Insurance and are able to provide both written and telephone references.
Our Fees
Cat Patrol clients only pay for the services they need, this is why we give individual quotes for each new job that we do.
Our standard charge is £16 per day within a 3 mile radius of our base in Mapperley Park and your home. We are able to provide details of other cat sitters, should you fall out of this zone.
If your booking begins with a visit in the afternoon or ends with a visit in the morning you will only be charged half the daily rate for that visit.
Payment is usually made by cash or cheque in advance but deferred payment/s can be arranged if necessary, please ask for further details.
Cat Patrol endeavours to keep the fees we charge as low as possible by keeping advertising costs to a minimum.
To avoid disappointment please make your booking at least two weeks before going away.
